This area has been substantially disturbed and modified due to sand extraction and, therefore, is not of high conservation value. The area is semi-fixed dune and common flora species found include Pyramidal Orchids and Red Fescue. Skylarks have been spotted on the Sandpit site and the red data book species the Solitary Mining Bee has also been identified.
