Access can be gained by a number of points along the margin of the site from Steeple lane which runs through the middle of Trelyon Downs.

Between Steeple lane, Courthouse Lane and St Michaels Way there is a public right of way taking in Knills Monument as well as several unofficial paths criss-crossing the site.
